Significant Expansion for Emporium Leisure Group
Emporium Leisure Group has announced the acquisition of their first venue in Newcastle Upon Tyne, marking a significant expansion into the region. This venue is set to undergo a revamp nearly two decades after the closure of the popular bar Pravda, which was part of a vibrant nightlife scene in the 2000s.
The new venue will cater to the growing esports community by providing a high-speed Internet connection, ensuring that it meets the demands of modern gaming enthusiasts. In addition to this, Emporium Leisure Group plans to establish a full catering kitchen and event space, aiming to attract a diverse clientele.
Operating hours for the venue are planned from 8am to 11pm, allowing for a wide range of activities throughout the day. Furthermore, the group will partner with an IT support provider to ensure on-site tech support, enhancing the overall experience for visitors.
In addition to the Newcastle venue, Emporium Leisure Group has plans for further expansions into Alnwick and Morpeth, indicating a strategic growth plan in the region.
Incident Near the Venue
In an unrelated incident, a vehicle crashed through a metal barricade near the White House in Newcastle. The driver was apprehended by the Metropolitan Police Department, and fortunately, no injuries have been reported from the incident.
During the investigation, several roads were closed but have since been reopened, allowing normal traffic flow to resume. This incident, while concerning, did not impact the plans for the new venue.
As Emporium Leisure Group moves forward with its plans, details remain unconfirmed regarding the timeline for the venue’s opening and the specific features that will be included in the revamp.
