Amber Davies has pulled out of upcoming shows of Legally Blonde The Musical due to a lingering illness that has affected her for over a month. The 29-year-old actress, who plays the lead role of Elle Woods, has been on antibiotics while trying to recover but has found that performing is hindering her health.
In a recent statement, Davies shared, “Ok update: After talking to my doctor, being on antibiotics and trying to recover whilst doing shows is getting me and my health NOWHERE.” She further expressed her concerns, stating, “I fear if I keep ‘pushing through’ I will be battling with this for longer than I need to be.” This decision comes after she admitted to suffering from burnout.
Davies, who has a substantial following of 1.3 million on Instagram, has been a prominent figure in the theatre scene since winning the third series of ITV’s Love Island in 2017. She previously starred in The Great Gatsby, earning a WhatsOnStage award for her performance.
