Asda, Argos, and Farmfoods have issued product recalls due to safety concerns affecting various items sold in the UK. The recalls were announced on March 15, 2026, following reports of potential health risks associated with the products.
The recalls include Tower Air Fryers manufactured between January 2022 and April 2023, which have been flagged for overheating and fire risks. A total of six different models, including T17023, T17087, and T17129L, are affected. Customers who own these air fryers are urged to stop using them immediately.
Additionally, Gü Indulgent Foods has recalled its Blonde Chocolate Cheesecake (2 x 82g) due to undeclared hazelnuts, which pose a risk to individuals with nut allergies. The specific batch code for the recalled cheesecake is 226044, with a use-by date of March 12.
Farmfoods is also recalling its Ritz Cheese Sandwich (91g), imported from Indonesia, due to undeclared allergens. The sandwich contains milk, soya, and wheat (gluten) that were not properly highlighted on the label, raising concerns for consumers with allergies.
Customers are advised to return any recalled products to the store where they were purchased for a full refund, with no receipt required. This measure aims to ensure consumer safety and mitigate any health risks associated with the affected products.
The Food Standards Agency has issued warnings regarding the recalled items, stating, “If you have bought the product and have an allergy to hazelnuts (nuts), do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund. No receipt required.”
Farmfoods has expressed its commitment to consumer safety, stating, “We take consumer safety very seriously and sincerely apologise to our loyal customers for this situation and any inconvenience it may have caused.”
As the situation develops, consumers are encouraged to stay informed about the recalls and check their products against the listed batch codes and model numbers.
Details remain unconfirmed regarding the total number of products affected and the specific stores involved in the recall process.
