Recent weeks have seen a series of draws, yet there is still confidence that they can clinch another title in the Scottish Premiership.
We haven’t reached a point where we can assert there’s a difference in confidence between the two clubs in Glasgow. As they prepare for their fourth encounter of the season, they find themselves in somewhat different situations, with disappointing outcomes naturally attracting more attention when they involve either Rangers or Celtic.
Celtic has encountered some challenges in the past few weeks.
On Thursday night, they managed to defeat Stuttgart in Europa League play, but they were already trailing 4-1 from the first leg. This occurred amidst Hibernian’s unexpected victory at Parkhead.
When you factor in the conflicts between fans and those in the boardroom, it creates an environment that doesn’t inspire confidence in their chances of winning a title. Rangers, having triumphed over Celtic during Wilfried Nancy’s troubled tenure, will recognize that the chance to do so again is within reach.
It’s somewhat unexpected to find a RANGERS WIN listed at 6/5 with various bookmakers, while others are offering 13/10. Nevertheless, it’s likely they will shift to odds-on as the match approaches.
I would argue that they are still a good bet at 19/20. Since Röhl took charge in October, no team has accumulated more points than Rangers’ 47 – that’s nine more than Hearts.
