With Inter streaking clear in top spot, the teams below them in the Serie A table have turned their focus to Champions League qualification, for which a top-four finish is required.
Roma are currently positioned fourth, while Juventus sits in fifth place, making this match critical for both sides. Will Roma secure a victory in front of their home crowd, or will Juventus depart the capital with all three points?

Roma vs Juventus predictions
Ultimately, the challenge proved too great for Juventus to overcome.
They put forth a commendable effort. Following a 5-2 defeat to Galatasaray in the first leg of their Champions League knockout phase play-off last week, many Juventus supporters had resigned themselves to the team exiting the competition before reaching the last 16.
In the return fixture on Wednesday, Manuel Locatelli successfully converted a penalty in the 37th minute, narrowing the deficit. However, after Lloyd Kelly received a red card early in the second half, Juventus’s chances appeared bleak.
Yet, they rallied. Goals from Federico Gatti and Weston McKennie brought Juventus level on aggregate, despite being a man down.
They maintained pressure on Galatasaray, who found themselves on the back foot despite having a numerical advantage. However, Juventus could not secure a decisive fourth goal, and their Turkish opponents struck twice in extra time, ending Juventus’s hopes.
Luciano Spalletti expressed pride in his players’ determination, even as they fell short. Juventus recorded an xG of 5.2 and attempted 28 shots on Galatasaray’s goal. With more precise finishing, they might have advanced to the last 16.
Consequently, Juventus must now focus on qualifying for next season’s edition of Europe’s premier tournament, a battle in which Roma is also engaged.
The title race is effectively concluded, barring an extraordinary collapse from Inter. A 10-point lead should suffice for the Nerazzurri to secure the title, even with a lackluster finish to the season.
Milan is currently second with 54 points, positioning them well for Champions League qualification. Following them are Napoli with 50 points, Roma also at 50, and Juventus at 46, with Como and Atalanta close behind at 45 points each. Two of these teams below Inter and Milan are likely to miss out on Champions League spots.
Both teams enter this match in inconsistent form. Juventus has garnered only one point from the last nine available in Serie A and has just been eliminated from European competition.
Roma has fared slightly better in recent weeks, managing two wins in their last five league matches. Notably, two of those games ended in respectable draws against Milan and Napoli, but Gian Piero Gasperini’s side still has work to do in the race for the top four.
Roma vs Juventus betting tips
This match features fourth-place Roma hosting fifth-place Juventus at the Stadio Olimpico.
Will Roma prevail?
Roma’s performance in high-stakes matches this season has been underwhelming.
Gasperini’s squad has generally performed well against teams they are expected to defeat. However, in ten instances where they dropped points, seven were against title or top-four contenders.
Nevertheless, Roma approaches this match with a more positive mindset than Juventus, which could prove pivotal.
Additionally, they have had a full week to prepare both physically and mentally, and Roma will draw confidence from their strong home record, second only to Inter.
A lopsided match is unlikely, but Roma should find a way to secure victory in front of their supporters.

Goals expected in Rome
Gasperini is recognized for his attacking style. His Atalanta teams have displayed some of the finest football in Europe.
However, goals have been scarce for Roma this season, with only 34 scored, ranking them eighth in the league. Conversely, their defense is the most robust in Serie A.
After witnessing his team concede seven goals in their last three Serie A matches, along with seven in two games against Galatasaray, Spalletti will be eager for a more solid defensive showing from Juventus.
Betting on under 2.5 goals, which has paid out in 73 percent of Roma’s league matches this season, is our second recommendation for Sunday’s encounter.

Malen is a player to watch
Donyell Malen has made an immediate impact since joining Roma from Aston Villa in the January transfer window.
The former Borussia Dortmund forward has already netted five goals in just six league appearances for his new club.
Despite being with the team for only a short time, Malen is just one goal away from becoming Roma’s joint-highest scorer this Serie A season.
No one who has observed him in recent weeks would be surprised if he finds the net against Juventus.
