Audi RS3 Competition Limited: A Special Edition
The Audi RS3 Competition Limited will be a highly exclusive model, restricted to just 750 units worldwide. Prices for this special edition will start at £92,855 for both the Sportback and saloon bodystyles, making it a premium offering in the performance car segment.
Under the hood, the RS3 Competition Limited features a robust 2.5-litre in-line five-cylinder engine that produces 394bhp and 500Nm of torque. This powerful engine allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 62mph in just 3.8 seconds, with a top speed of 180mph.
To enhance its performance, the car includes a torque-vectoring rear differential and a new suspension set-up with adjustable coilover suspension. Additionally, the exhaust system has been modified specifically for this model, promising an exhilarating driving experience.
Audi is celebrating the five-cylinder engine’s golden jubilee with this release, which features unique styling elements, including extensive use of matt-finish carbon fibre. Only 11 units are destined for the UK market, all in five-door form, making it even more exclusive.
Deliveries of the RS3 Competition Limited are set to commence in the fourth quarter of 2026. However, details regarding UK allocations of the car have not been confirmed as yet.
Gernot Döllner, an Audi executive, expressed uncertainty about the future of the five-cylinder engine, stating, “I don’t know if we’re able to refinance the investment in EU7 regulations.” He also mentioned that the RS3 Competition Limited represents the ultimate form of the model.
As the automotive industry continues to evolve, there are conflicting reports about the future of the five-cylinder engine, and the business case for re-engineering it to meet Euro 7 emissions regulations remains unclear. Observers are keenly watching how these developments will impact the model’s legacy.
For enthusiasts, the RS3 Competition Limited promises to deliver an unforgettable driving experience, with the five-cylinder soundtrack fully enjoyed in the Dynamic, RS Performance, and RS Torque Rear (drift) driving modes.
As the launch date approaches, further details about the model and its allocations are anticipated, but for now, the excitement surrounding the Audi RS3 Competition Limited continues to build.
