The costs associated with obtaining a passport are also noteworthy. An adult standard 34-page passport costs £94.50 when applied for online, while a paper application will set you back £107. For children, the online application fee is £61.50, and £74 for paper submissions.
Travelers can save £12.50 by opting for online applications instead of postal submissions. Additionally, urgent passport services are available, including Online Premium and one-week Fast Track options for those in need of immediate assistance.
The UK Government strongly recommends checking passport validity before booking any international trips. For those who still possess a burgundy passport displaying ‘European Union’ on the front, it can continue to be used until its expiry date arrives, despite the changes brought about by Brexit.
