The LEGO Tintin Moon Rocket is set to be released on April 1, 2026, featuring a total of 1,283 pieces and priced at $159.99. This highly anticipated set is inspired by the classic Tintin comic books, particularly Destination Moon and Explorers on the Moon.
The rocket showcases a striking red-and-white chequered design and includes six minifigures: Tintin, Captain Haddock, Professor Calculus, Thomson, Thompson, and Snowy. This diverse cast allows fans to recreate their favorite moments from the beloved series.
Designed by fan creator Alexis Dos Santos, the Tintin Moon Rocket was submitted through the LEGO Ideas program. The design garnered 10,000 votes from supporters, leading to its approval by the LEGO Ideas Review Board.
In addition to its impressive design, the rocket features a hidden control room, enabling builders to recreate the moment Tintin and his crew first glimpsed Earth from space. This attention to detail is expected to resonate with both LEGO enthusiasts and Tintin fans alike.
The set is targeted at adults aged 18 and older, reflecting LEGO’s commitment to creating complex builds that appeal to a mature audience. Pre-orders for the set are currently available through LEGO.com and at LEGO Stores.
Alexis Dos Santos expressed his excitement, stating, “Creating the Tintin Moon Rocket has been an incredible journey. I hope the build sparks the same sense of imagination and adventure that inspired me from the very beginning.”
As the release date approaches, observers are eager to see how this set will be received in the market. The LEGO Group, founded in 1932 in Billund, Denmark, continues to innovate and expand its offerings, and the Tintin Moon Rocket is a testament to its enduring legacy.
Details remain unconfirmed regarding any additional features or exclusive content that may accompany the launch. However, the combination of nostalgia and creativity surrounding this set is sure to attract attention from fans worldwide.
