“There was no winner of the Lotto jackpot,” a spokesperson confirmed after the latest Irish Lotto draw on March 7, 2026. One player came agonizingly close, missing the €2,693,222 jackpot by just one number.
The winning numbers for the Irish Lotto draw were 14, 24, 33, 34, 37, 43, with a bonus number of 15. Despite the near miss for one hopeful player, the Lotto Plus 1 jackpot of €1 million went unclaimed.
In the Lotto Plus 1, the highest prize awarded was €500, shared among 19 players who matched five numbers. Similarly, the Lotto Plus 2 jackpot of €250,000 saw no winner, but 19 players will receive €250 each for matching five numbers.
The Irish Lotto Raffle also contributed to the excitement, awarding €500 to 81 winners. In total, over 73,000 players won prizes across the Lotto and Lotto Plus draws.
National Lottery and South Africa Lotto
Meanwhile, the National Lottery Lotto in the UK featured a jackpot of £3.8 million on the same day, alongside a Thunderball jackpot of £500,000.
In South Africa, a staggering R59.5 million in jackpots was available in the Lotto and Lotto Plus draws. The winning Lotto numbers for South Africa were 04, 13, 14, 20, 22, 47, with a bonus number of 29.
Entries for the South African Lotto cost R5 per board, including VAT. As the excitement builds around these draws, players are reminded to check their numbers carefully.
