Marie Potter moved into her house in 1998 and initially had a good relationship with her neighbour. However, this changed when a dispute arose over parking, specifically concerning Mrs. Potter’s Ford Focus blocking access to her neighbour’s garage.
The conflict escalated, leading to a court case that began in 2020. Ultimately, Marie Potter lost her house due to the judgment against her, which ordered her to pay around £70,000 in costs and damages to her neighbour, Kirsten McGowan.
The judgment debt was charged against her home, valued at £575,000, and an order for sale of the property was obtained in December 2021. Following this, Marie Potter was evicted from her house in April 2023 due to unpaid judgment debt.
