In a harrowing case that has shocked the Bristol community, Nathan Bennett was sentenced to 24 years in prison for the sexual abuse of five children at the Partou King Street nursery. The sentencing took place on March 16, 2026, following a series of disturbing events that began to unfold in early 2025.
Bennett’s abusive actions came to light when a nursery manager observed him on CCTV in February 2025, putting his hand down the trousers of a child. This prompted immediate action, leading to his arrest and subsequent conviction. Judge William Hart described Bennett as an “evil” and “incorrigible and dangerous paedophile,” emphasizing the severity of his crimes.
The victims, aged just two and three years at the time of the abuse, were subjected to horrific acts. Bennett was convicted of two counts of rape, four counts of sexual assault, and two counts of assault by penetration. In addition, he had previously admitted to 13 other sexual offence charges relating to four of the boys.
