Customers of TalkTalk are reporting a major service outage that began at around 7am on March 25, 2026. The disruption is impacting users across various parts of the United Kingdom, with many expressing frustration over the lack of communication from the Internet Service Provider (ISP).
As of 8:10am, reports indicated that some users were still able to maintain a physical line connection to TalkTalk, although their internet service was down. Interestingly, some customers found that using a VPN seemed to resolve their connectivity issues temporarily.
By 8:17am, it was noted that TalkTalk Business customers were also experiencing similar problems, further extending the outage’s impact. However, by 8:20am, some users began reporting that they were starting to come back online, suggesting that the situation may be improving for some.
Despite the ongoing issues, TalkTalk has not updated their Service Status page regarding the outage, leaving many customers in the dark about the situation. The outage appears to be related to TalkTalk’s DNS servers or an issue with peering/routing, though details remain unconfirmed.
As of 11:11am, TalkTalk has yet to issue an official comment on the situation, prompting concerns among users about the reliability of their service. The lack of timely updates has led to increased frustration among customers who rely on the ISP for their internet connectivity.
This incident highlights the challenges faced by ISPs in maintaining service reliability and effective communication during outages. As the situation develops, customers are advised to monitor their connections and consider alternative solutions, such as VPNs, if they continue to experience issues.
