Notably, all Liverpool Superstores will be closed on Easter Sunday, aligning with the majority of large Tesco stores in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, which will also remain closed on that day. However, Tesco Extra on Park Road in Liverpool will be open on Good Friday from 7am to 10pm.
On Easter Sunday, Tesco Express stores will have more flexible hours, opening as early as 6am and closing as late as 11pm. This provides customers with options for shopping, despite the restrictions on larger stores.
According to regulations, shops over 280 square metres can open on Sundays for six consecutive hours between 10am and 6pm, but they must close on Easter Sunday and Christmas Day. This means that large Tesco stores will not be available for shopping on Easter Sunday, limiting options for customers who prefer larger selections.
The majority of large Tesco Express stores will be open from 8am to 6pm on Easter Monday, providing a chance for shoppers to stock up after the holiday weekend. This is consistent with Tesco’s approach to accommodate customer needs during holiday periods.
