UNC Asheville Women’s Golf Team Leads Low Country Intercollegiate
The UNC Asheville women’s golf team is currently at the forefront of the Low Country Intercollegiate, boasting a team score of 605. This impressive performance places them ahead of a competitive 15-team field by a margin of eight strokes.
Leading the individual leaderboard is Lauren Madson, who has recorded a score of +2 with rounds of 73 and 73, totaling 146. Following closely behind is teammate Caroline Patterson, who sits in second place with a score of +3 (rounds of 72 and 75 for a total of 147).
This tournament marks Asheville’s best two-round performance of the spring season, highlighting the team’s strong form as they compete against schools such as Richmond, Appalachian State, and Wofford.
In addition to Madson and Patterson, other notable performances include Jordyn Arts, who is tied for 20th place at +11 (scores of 76 and 79 totaling 155), and Breanna Hoese, who is tied for 27th at +13 (with scores of 83 and 74 for a total of 157).
The final round of the tournament is scheduled for March 10, 2026, where the Bulldogs will look to maintain their lead and secure a victory.
