SunRisers Leeds, currently in second place, could claim the top spot and a direct entry to Lord’s if they win their match against Manchester Super Giants. This is due to their superior net run rate compared to the Rockets.
However, a victory for Manchester Super Giants would bring them level on points with SunRisers Leeds, potentially moving them into second place if their margin of victory is substantial enough. This scenario would be favourable for the Trent Rockets, as it would help them avoid the eliminator.
In the match against Southern Brave, Tristan Stubbs of the Brave secured the win with 52 not out off 28 balls, with three balls remaining. The turning point in the chase of 159 for victory came with the arrival of Marcus Stoinis at the crease, with the score at 78-3 at the halfway mark.
