The 2026 Belfast City Marathon will feature a team relay with five distinct legs, each with varying distances. This event will take place on May 3, 2026, in Belfast. Thousands of participants are expected to join this exciting race.
Key details about the relay:
- Leg 1 covers 4.2 miles from Stormont Estate to Montgomery Road.
- Leg 2 spans 6.8 miles from Montgomery Road to Boucher Road.
- Leg 3 is a shorter segment of 4.5 miles from Boucher Road to Falls Road.
- Leg 4 extends 5 miles from Falls Road to Duncairn Gardens.
- Leg 5 completes the relay at Ormeau Park, covering 5.7 miles.
A shuttle bus service will operate from Annadale Embankment to relay changeover points between 8:00am and 10:00am. Parking will be available at the Stormont Complex for free on marathon day. Additionally, discounted parking options exist at Q-Park and APCOA car parks.
All transport for the marathon is free for spectators and participants, excluding rail services. Early morning train services will run from Derry, Larne, Bangor, and Newry to Belfast on race day.
