Daisy Campbell has transitioned from a successful career on Emmerdale to open Pontefract’s first reformer Pilates studio. She spent 13 years on the popular soap, portraying Amelia Spencer since the age of seven.
Campbell opened her studio, called That Pilates Place, after leaving Emmerdale in 2024. Before launching her business, she completed a level three mat and reformer Pilates course. She expressed excitement about this new chapter, stating, “Every little detail is so special. So I would like to welcome you officially to Pontefract’s first reformer Pilates studio.”
To create the studio, Campbell renovated an old crown court building with the help of her 80-year-old grandad. This personal touch adds to the uniqueness of her venture.
She marked six months in business at That Pilates Place in April 2026. The community has shown support for her new fitness initiative. As a familiar face, Campbell’s transition from television to fitness has drawn attention.
Yet, leaving Emmerdale was not an easy decision for Campbell. She noted, “It wasn’t my choice to leave Emmerdale and it was a shock at first.” Her next public appearance will be on a celebrity edition of The Chase.
As she embarks on this new journey, observers are curious about how Campbell will blend her celebrity status with her passion for fitness and community engagement.
