The LEGO Group is releasing its first-ever LEGO Shrek set to celebrate the franchise’s 25th anniversary. This release raises a central question: What can fans expect from this new addition? The answer lies in a collection that includes beloved characters and intricate designs.
The set features Shrek, Donkey, and Puss in Boots. It contains a total of 1,403 pieces and is priced at $129.99. The design showcases a swamp base complete with a ‘Beware Ogre!’ sign, capturing the essence of the original film.
Raquel Ojeda from LEGO noted, “Shrek has always celebrated imagination, friendship, and a little bit of mischief, which are values that translate perfectly into LEGO play.” This sentiment reflects the intention behind creating sets that resonate with fans.
A smaller BrickHeadz set will also be available. It includes Shrek, Donkey, and Gingy. This set is priced at $24.99 and consists of 260 pieces. Both sets aim to bring Far Far Away to life while honoring the legacy of Shrek.
The collaboration aligns with the upcoming sequel, Shrek 5, which adds excitement for fans eager for new content. The LEGO Shrek sets are available for pre-order starting April 23, 2026. They will officially release on June 1, 2026.
Additionally, these sets include hidden Easter eggs related to the Shrek films—offering fans a chance to discover nods to their favorite moments. Rafa Macias highlighted that these designs honor what has made Shrek a cultural icon.
