A driver has been arrested after deliberately plowing into a crowd in Leipzig, resulting in two fatalities and several injuries. The incident occurred on Grimmaische Strasse around 5 PM local time.
The suspect, a 33-year-old German man, is under investigation for murder and attempted murder. Saxony Police confirmed that the two victims were also German citizens. Emergency services declared a mass casualty incident at the scene.
