Redmond, who is 32 years old, was a free agent after leaving Sheffield Wednesday in January, where he made 276 appearances in the Premier League between 2016 and 2023. During his time at Southampton, he scored 30 goals and provided 27 assists, showcasing his offensive capabilities.
In total, Redmond has recorded 58 goals and 65 assists across 491 career games, including a single cap for the England national team in 2017. His recent stint at Sheffield Wednesday saw him play 132 minutes across seven games.
Blackburn Rovers currently sit 19th in the Championship, just four points above the relegation zone. The club is looking to Redmond to bolster their attack as they navigate the final stretch of the season.
Redmond’s career began at Birmingham City, where he became their second-youngest player. He later moved to Norwich City, Southampton, and most recently, Besiktas, before returning to England.
