Kate Cassidy is ready to start dating again. It has been 18 months since the death of her boyfriend, Liam Payne. The couple was in a two-year relationship before his tragic passing in October 2024 after a fall from a hotel balcony.
Cassidy expressed her desire to have kids and build a family in the future. She shared her feelings about moving on from grief on Instagram. “I am ready to start dating again. It has been a year and a half since Liam passed away,” she wrote.
To meet potential partners, Kate has tried 47 different hobbies. She hopes these activities will lead to new connections through dating apps and other avenues.
But she acknowledges that Liam’s memory will always be with her. “I will always love Liam and that will never change no matter who I meet and who comes into my life,” she stated.
In a separate incident, police are investigating vandalism in Chaddesden Wood, where two mature oak trees were seriously damaged. These trees, estimated to be around 100 years old, hold significant environmental value.
The damaged trees have a combined value of £145,000 and are protected by a Tree Preservation Order. Councillor Ndukwe Onuoha remarked, “This appears to have been caused deliberately and is being treated seriously given the trees’ environmental importance.”
Keith Tomlin, a local resident, added concern over the vandalism: “They have cut down trees all around here to make these dens.” The community is rallying to protect their natural surroundings as Cassidy navigates her new chapter in life.
