A Tornado Watch has been issued for the Walt Disney World area on May 2. The National Weather Service announced this at 11:27 AM. The watch is effective until 6 PM EDT.
Conditions are favorable for tornadoes to develop in the area. Wind Advisory also accompanies the watch. Gusty winds of 50–70 mph are expected, along with large hail and heavy rain.
Severe storms are most likely between 3 PM and 11 PM. These storms may bring dangerous lightning as well.
Currently, Walt Disney World has not announced any park closures or attraction suspensions. However, outdoor attractions may face temporary closures due to weather conditions.
