Chirayu Rana filed a lawsuit against Lorna Hajdini on April 1, 2026, in New York County Supreme Court. He alleges sexual harassment and racial abuse. The lawsuit was initially filed under the pseudonym ‘John Doe’.
JPMorgan Chase & Co conducted an internal investigation into Rana’s claims. The investigation found no evidence to support his allegations. A spokesperson for JPMorgan stated, “Following an investigation, we don’t believe there’s any merit to these claims.” They further noted that Rana declined to provide facts central to his allegations.
Hajdini has denied all accusations. She stated, “I have never engaged in inappropriate conduct.” An unnamed source close to her claimed that Rana has “tarnished her with a complete fabrication.” This case has drawn attention to allegations of workplace misconduct and abuse of power.
Rana is 35 years old and currently works as a principal at Bregal Sagemount. Previously, he worked at JPMorgan in its leveraged finance team. Hajdini, on the other hand, has been with JPMorgan for around 15 years and currently serves as an executive director with an estimated annual compensation of $200,000.
The lawsuit alleges that Hajdini drugged Rana and threatened to slash his bonus if he didn’t comply. However, it remains unclear how these claims will be substantiated in court. The case continues without a confirmed trial date.
Officials have not confirmed the identification of Rana as ‘John Doe’, which remains contested. Observers will watch closely as this high-profile lawsuit unfolds.
