The upcoming Nissan Juke EV, scheduled for launch in spring 2027, represents a significant advancement in Nissan’s electric vehicle (EV) strategy. Built on the CMF-EV platform, the Juke EV is Nissan’s fourth electric model, following the Leaf and Ariya, and aims to attract a broader customer base within the growing EV market.
Produced at Nissan’s Sunderland factory in the UK, the Juke EV will benefit from local manufacturing, potentially qualifying for government incentives. The Juke EV will share technology with the Nissan Leaf, which boasts a maximum range of 386 miles and offers battery options of 52kWh and 75kWh. This shared technology aims to provide customers with a reliable and efficient driving experience.
Designed to cater to a variety of customer needs, the Juke EV will feature Vehicle-to-Grid technology, allowing owners to manage their energy consumption more effectively. The pricing strategy for the Juke EV aims to keep it in the mid to high £20,000 bracket, similar to the current Juke model.
Additionally, the Juke EV will showcase a distinctive design inspired by the Hyper Punk concept, reinforcing Nissan’s commitment to bold aesthetics. Lyons remarked, “JUKE has always stood for bold design and a willingness to challenge convention,” indicating that the new model will continue this tradition.
